PESCAFINA S.A. started up operations in 1976. The Company has a capital of 19,03 million Euros and its headquarters is in Madrid.


In 1993 the Management of Pescafina started to develop a new comercial strategy, signing marketing agreements with important producers throughout the world and thereby ensuring the supply of raw materials and finished products for its domestic and internacional markets.


Today PESCAFINA is present in all world markets both, as purchaser and as distributor.


With a turnover of 343,98 million Euros in 2.003, representing 114.849 MT of frozen fish, shellfish and precooked products, PESCAFINA has become one of the largest companies of its kind in Europe.


In June 2000 PESCANOVA S.A. one of the world leading companies in the fishing sector, became the main shareholder of the company.
Since February 2.002, PESCANOVA S.A. holds a 95% share in PESCAFINA S.A.
